First start

The device is configured through a page in your browser. There is no app to install and nothing to register.

   Apply power

   A short melody and a flash of the LED mean the device has started.

   Join the hotspot

   In your list of WiFi networks you will see RAZ-RCP- followed by eight characters — exactly the name printed on the label. The password is on the label too; it is the one starting with raz-.

   Open the panel

   Type 10.10.10.1 in your browser. If your phone asks whether to stay on a network without internet, stay.

   Sign in

   Account admin, password from the label starting with adm-. That is NOT the WiFi password.

   Set the clock

   In settings, sync it from your browser. Without a correct clock, punches are recorded with the wrong time, and the only way to fix that afterwards is by hand.

   Change both passwords

   The panel password needs at least 10 characters, the WiFi password at least 8. The factory ones are printed on the enclosure, so anyone with physical access already knows them.

   Add employees

   The device reads card numbers for you — see the section on employees and cards.

   Present the first card

   A green LED and three rising tones mean an entry was recorded. You will see it in the panel straight away.

Once configured, you can plug in the network cable. The device will pick up an address, sync its clock from the internet and — if you enable it — start sending punches to your payroll system.
