Software updates
Updating from the panel, uploading a file, and what happens when something goes wrong.
The current software version is shown in the panel under device status. An update does not erase settings, employees or attendance records.
Updating over the internet
In the panel you check whether a newer version exists and start the update with one click. Throughout the download the LED flashes blue and the panel shows progress as a percentage. When it finishes, the device restarts itself.
Updating from a file
Where the device has no internet access, you can upload an update file from disk. The device verifies it before starting and rejects anything that is not its own software.
